The recent update of the hardware compatibility tables shows that we
don't have many mappings for controllers have not been discontinued.
Several cheapish controllers have entered the market in the past couple
years that I think a lot of users would be interested in getting if
there were mappings.

The Akai Pro AMX is great for new vinyl users. It's the cheapest sound
card with 2 phono preamps on the market today ($250) since the Electrix
Ebox 44 and Mixvibes U-Mix44 were discontinued. Also, because its MIDI
controls are for controlling software mixing, it can replace a heavy,
bulky, and expensive analog mixer. It should be very easy to map with
the possible exception of the vu meters. The audio interface is class
compliant, so it should work with Linux.

It would also be good to have a mapping for the Traktor Kontrol Z1,
which is similar to the Akai Pro AMX but $50 cheaper and lacks inputs.
It's an HID device, so it'd be harder to map. The audio interface on
this is also class compliant, so it works on Linux (searching the
interwebs confirms this).

It's kinda ironic how iOS requiring USB audio devices to be class
compliant is driving hardware manufacturers to make audio interfaces and
controllers that work better with Linux. :P

The Numark Mixtrack 2 (not Pro) is a popular controller that is the same
as the Mixtrack Pro 2 but without an audio interface. Users have talked
about modifying the Pro 2 mapping on the forums, but no one has posted a
mapping.

Similarly, the Allen & Heath Xone K1 is the same as the Xone K2 but
without an audio interface.

The Numark Mixtrack 3 and Mixtrack Pro 3 recently became available.
They're a bit more expensive (for now) and the 2 & 2 Pro are still
available, but I think some users would appreciate a mapping for these.
The audio interface in the Pro 3 is class compliant, so it should work
with Linux.
