Hello :)

I have a problem with glav on a gentoo linux.
It crashes with SDL parachute error...
I have read similiar message in mjpeg-users mail list archive, and one
of the developers (as far as I remember) gave an advice to upgrade SDL
and one of theproposed solutions was to try start glav with -p S
option or without sound.

I think problems are not because of sound, but anyway glav -p S -a 0
doesn't help.

I have upgraded SDL version from 1.2.7 to 1.2.9 and problem still exists...

So, I am not sure we can solve problem and I am asking only for eli file syntax

If I can write eli file myself, I can convert captured videos to mpeg2
and write dvd's.

Now I am doing it with MainActor, which works very hard with mjpeg
files captured with lavrec.
About year ago I have send them file example, give a mjpeg sources
link, and they told me that file is strange and that they'll try to
find a solution.

ANyway, MainActor still while making mpeg2 from lavrec captured mjpeg
outputs awful terrible sound, and it is very hard to do editing,
because any time I put marker some place on a timeline , mainactor
hangs and show current frame only after 5-10 minutes.
I solved all mainactor problems with mencoder
I do
mencoder mylavreccapturedavi.avi -ovc copy -ni -forceidx -of avi
-noodml -oac pcm -o output.avi

Resulted file can be converted to mpeg2 in mainactor without audio errors

More of that, it is more easy to edit with main actor, because it
doesn't think and hang when I put a marker somewhere on a timeline, or
hangs for a little only once for each file :)

Anyway, I just need .eli file settings...

Because I want to convert files with mjpegtools not with proprietary
video editor.

By the way, another question
All files captured with lavrec has Upper field first, so when I am
converting files with mainactor and setting render option upper field
first it is ok?

Because I tried lower field first option too, and when playing back on
tv resulted files with mplayer -vo zr mpeg2file.mpg I can't see the
difference...

Thank you very much.
