Unfortunately, there are some Camaros that do very, very, very well against the GTi VR6 cars, even in autocross. Just ask one of the listers from the GTi VR6 list. Some Camaros are very serious autocross machines. Also, at the BMW ACA lapping days that I go to, there are a few Corvettes that show up. They are so fast that not a single German car could get thru the test slalom course as fast as one LT-1 car... They may rattle a lot and blow out power steering systems on a regular basis but they do work very well. The A2 16v does not stand a chance to those cars when both are driven by good pilots! I'd still rather have a 16v GTi to one of those any day. Later, Clayton
