I just use Simple Green. I spray it all over the engine, let it sit a while, then rinse it off with a low pressure mist with the garden hose. This does a really nice job.

(The smell of burning oil on the exhaust manifold sucks.) I was : wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the most effective way to do : this. I bought a can of some spray degreaser from the auto store. Any word : on how good this stuff works? I figure I'll cover the distributor and : throttle body with plastic bags. Is there some other stuff I should cover : up? I guess I should probably disconnect the battery too. : : Ryan Lewandowski : [email protected] : http://www.rit.edu/~mrl8550 : smelly '91 GTI 16V : '68 Karmann Ghia _____________ List Sponsor: http://www.netsville.com To remove yourself from this list, send mail to [email protected] with 'unsubscribe a2_16v' in the body of your message See us on the web at http://www.a2-16v.com Visit the 16V Homepage at http://www.gti16v.org
