Door armor plates seemed to work for me. The burglar tried to tear up my door handle to open the door. He obviously failed, so he gave up and just broke my side window to get to my stereo. He ruined my door trying. I ended up having to get my door repaired and resprayed because of the damage.
I used Euro-locks to protect my wheels. I think RapidParts sells them. They fill up the entire hole, so nobody could use Gator-grip style socket to remove the lug cover. If your wheel lock doesn't fill up the entire hole, then it is pretty much worthless, since any punk could use those gator-grip style sockets to remove multiple shaped lugs. What kind of alarms? Alarm Sensors? Or features to look for from an alarm? Home made anti-theft measures? Do Door handle plates actually work? has anyone done anything to prevent Seats, and wheels from being stolen? Preventing slim-jimming? What are the most common ways our cars are violated? I know if a thief really wants a car they'll take it. I don't want to spoil anyone's secret so I decided to start a thread on VWVortex (which is a little more anonymous).
