i was under the impression that the smaller blocks were different than the larger blocks. as in: the 1.7 is the same as the 1.8, but the 1.5 is different. you would also probably have a big compression issue that would have to be worked out with new pistons. at that HP level, you probably want beefier internals to start with anyway...i would suggest sticking with the 1.8, and research putting in a smaller crank, such as the 1.5 crank. ive always wondered if the 1.5 cranks would fit in a 1.8 block, but i never cared enough to find out. you would, of course, need to get different rods, but again, at that HP level, you probably want new rods anyway. and a T3 is pretty damn big for 1.5 liters... my buddy has one on his C g60, and it still has a bit of lag. using the 1.5 is a novel idea, but in practice, i just dont think its worth it. especially when you consider the availibility of 1.8 16v blocks. ben _____________ List Sponsor: http://www.netsville.com To remove yourself from this list, send mail to [email protected] with 'unsubscribe a2_16v' in the body of your message See us on the web at http://www.a2-16v.com Visit the 16V Homepage at http://www.gti16v.org
