Well, I went back to the fuel pump and put my ear on it...both the in-tank
and the main pump. Both seemed to be buzzing at a pretty normal
level...The car WAS low on gas, and just before leaving, when I started the
car, there was a weird noise from the back and I had a premonition that the
fuel pump was going. So if the fuel pump was dying, it would pressurize
the system when I click the key on, so it would run OK for a bit, then it
wouldn't be able to keep up?
