Large (or as I prefer) Super Snowflake is MAX A/C, in other words the
a/c recycles air from inside the car for maximum cooling. Small
Snowflake is normal a/c that uses exclusively fresh air.

The "fan" moniker is b/c some English speaking and reading buyers
would have been confused if the word "FAN" wasn't written directly
upon or adjacent to the fan switch. Anyone who's driven antique
British cars fully appreciates these labeled switches - there's
nothing like driving in the rain whilst desperately pulling and
pushing switches in order to get the wipers functioning only to learn
that they're either vacuum operated or simply non-functional.
