Absolutely correct Marshall.  Plus the fan symbol is actually a defrost
symbol.  That is supposed to be the fan speed that will defrost most
effectively.  The same symbol appears on the defrost position for the lever.

Isn't this covered in the owner's manual?  I think that's where I got it...

the way I've understoon the big snow flake vs the small one is that the big
one is used to cool the cabin down and then once it's
cooled you switch to the smaller one to keep it cool.

I think, but I'm not sure, that always running the car on the big snowflake
can cause things to wear prematurely?

I dont know about the fan speeds.  I never go past #2

the difference is the same as max air and just normal a/c.  Meaning when you

put it on the big snow flake it recirculates the air from the inside and the

small snow flake draws in fresh air from the out side.
