That little shock absorver is a hop-kit. Its explained in Jan's website

I retrofited one in my 2.0 (not equiped from the factory) and you have to move some stuff around to do it. In any case if your engine shakes a lot you probably have a broken motor mount (both hydraulic and rubber do go bad) I would check the front and the passenger side motor mount and replace if they are bad before you retrofit the hop-kit
