Okay, correct me if I'm wrong:

I disconnected the black/brown boot behind the throttle body.  This is for
the O2 sensor, correct?  It's just one wire.

I hooked up a voltmeter between the terminal on the black connector and
ground.  It read .6 volts at idle.  It also read .6 volts when I cracked
open the throttle a long ways.  I assume this means the O2 sensor is toast?
 If it is, I'll be really, really happy...and I'll KILL the VW dealership
for replacing my DPR.
