Renard,
Sounds like the piston seals are starting to fail. Replace the M/C. New
fluid and/or bleeding will not fix it. Before you put in the replacement
M/C make you bench bleed it, it'll make completing the job much faster
after you install it.

So, what are the symptoms of a failing master cylinder? I have no
experience with MC. Here is what is happening:
- sporadically the pedal will go 3/4 to the floor
- when this happens, if I pump it 2-3 times I get pressure
- seems to only happen at slow speeds, i.e. in a parking lot, when moving
in
slow traffic, etc.
- when it is acting up I can put the pedal 3/4 to the floor when the car is
stopped by pressing on the pedal lightly; if I press hard or pump it I
get
pressure
It seems to only do this when the car is warmed up. It will do it for a
while, then stop. Some ideas I had :
- MC failing
- time to bleed the system
- time for new fluid
Anyone have any ideas/advice?? I need to get this taken care of soon b/f
I slam into someone.
Thanks,
Renard
