I was looking at saab parts last week.  the i/c on the 9000 we were looking
at is huge!

You heard right.  It's not a very "efficient" intercooler, in that it's
hard for the turbo to push air through it.  IIRC when you try to stuff too
much air through a G60 IC, you end up seeing a 5-8psi loss across the IC.
A better choice would be a saab intercooler.  Sorry I can't elaborate
more, but I have seen a ton of people using them in their turbo projects.
You also may be able to get one off of a ford thunderbird.
