I run 15w40 Amsoil synthetic since I bought the car and the PO did the same. I only run my 16v in the summer now, but until 2 years ago I would run the same in winter as well. I am now thinking I might switch to 20w50 Amsoil as my car has ~144,000 miles on the clock. What do you all think about me switching to the heavier oil?
OT: Also in my 1.8t I have run 5w40 Lubro-Moly Synthetic since 10,000 miles. It is golf 1.8t and now has 30,000 miles. Do you guys think that is an appropriate weight for the miles, and in summer?
