Doc,

        I bought the car w/o the A/C working.  I'm not sure how much it would 
take
to get it working.  Since I have working A/C in my Passat, if it's hot out
and I don't want to sweat like Yip, I'll drive the P.  Therefore, I see no
need for it in the GLi.

Geez, and I just spent all this time and money to get
my A/C working!  A/C is a beautiful thing on the 1.5
hour drive back from the auto-x site in the middle of
summer when it's 95 degrees out...
