I know that with 11" Wilwoods and 15" BBS RMs (GTI wheels) you need a 5mm spacer...

Again, I haven't done it yet, but I was told from someone who had 4 lug 11" and GLI BBS that that was all he had to do to get it clear. If so, there is no degradation in braking, other than a slightly quicker pad replacement.
