<If you must reuse it, give the old nut a whack with a hammer on its outer rim so that it's a little bit oval. <Chris
Is this a good idea??? Not trying to be a jerk but I've never heard of deforming a nut to help lock it on. How would it go on properly w/o damaging/compromising the threads it's going on? I think Loctite would be a much better alternative. Greg
