Eric,

Is the cap on the overflow reservoir the original black one?? If so, try changing to one of the new blue ones, I've done that on both my cars and my similar problem was lessened. I say "lessened" because one of the heater cores is about on it's last legs and need replaced. Do you smell coolant inside the car when the heater is on?? If so, take a look at the heater core.

The other source of a leak could be the flange on the side of the head that is, these days, made of plastic and subject to vibration problems. The flanges are the same design as the metal ones from a few years back and they are interchangeable. Had that problem with a Corrado G60 a couple years and swapped in a "spare from the shed" and the problem went away.........Jack

speaking of leaks, does anyone have a problem with leaking/'burning'
coolant? I don't notice any leaks, but i'm constantly having to fill up my
coolant. I put in about a half gallon two weeks ago (400-600 miles) and my
coolant light came on again on the way to work. sure enough, it's low.
does that happen to anyone else?

Thanks,

Eric
