I know this wont be a popular email.

I've been looking for a GLI with no luck, but I believe I have found a worthy 
substitute.  

The car is a '89 Civic 4 door. It has a ZC engine (JDM swap) with adjustable 
cam gears, a cool air intake, 1.5"(?) headers that merge into 2 2" and then a 
3" collector connected to 2" exhaust run back to the muffler.  The engine is 
mated to a SI trans. w/ my custom made SI axles.  It also has Skunk2 
coil-overs and 16x7 rims with 205/40 series tires.

I've had it for a month now and have done the axles and converted it from 
Power Steering to a manual rack.  I bought new tires and I'm waiting for my 
front camber kits to arrive.

How does it compare to a GLI?  I don't know, I've never driven one.
