The A2 GLIs have class. honda has... rice. I prefer to be 1 out of 100 not a
1 out of 3. But I guess if you like your rice burner than so be it. "Look
everyone. I have a honda, im different and unique!"

Now that all those mods have been done to this thing it will (with the right
driver behind the wheel) drive about as well as a GLi.

If you want to associated with that stereotype fine. Don't forget to wear
your tennis visor sideways and always keep that left hand on the top of the
steering wheel!

You should have just bought a beater to drive around while you waited for
that GLi. You would have bumped into a nice one eventually. I did. I used to
have an '89 GLi for some time. It had very high mileage and was rather
dilapidated. I really wanted a 90-92 GLi (mostly for the 2.0L and the
bumpers) and so I decided to put up with the '89 and keep my eyes peeled for
the gem. One day, about a year ago, I was at a gas station fueling up and
some guy pulled up to get gas in an old classic Chevy pickup. He got out and
asked me what year my car was. We started talking and he mentioned that he
had a '91 for sale. :) I followed him to his house and he took me into his
garage to show me one of the straightest, cleanest, smoothest running GLIs I
had even been in the presence of. We talked about the car for a while and I
found out that it had been rearended back in '94 and he had spent $$$$
getting the rear body panels replaced and painted and getting the trunk
straightened out. He had been trying to sell it for some time and couldn't
get anything for it 'cuz the title said "totaled - reconstructed" (you would
never know if you weren't told) He had bought it in high school and since
then had gotten into restoring old trucks and didn't want it in his garage
anymore. Two weeks later I offered him $2000 and he took it. The car drives
like a dream and until the left from CV cracked about a month ago. I have
never had any problems with it other than the usual maint. I bought the car
with 132,000k miles (damn low compared to most) The totaled part really
didn't matter to me as long as the car drives right and doesn't vibrate,
plus, I don't plan on ever getting rid of it. And since I only paid 2k for
it, If I ever had to part with it im not out too much.

anyways.. honda sucks. I have driven many. None I have liked as much as the
GLi. Many a rice burner have I left in the dust.
