The latch on the hood is very adjustable. Losen it up slightly (enough to move with a bit of force by hand, but not so that it is all over the place), and close the hood. If the latch is lose enough, it will sort of 'self-adjust' into its comfortable place. Then just retighten.
Also, the actual spike that is on the hood, which locks into the latch is adjustable for height. Use this to level off the hood to the fenders when its closed, along with the rubber stops.
