I am one of those high mileage champs. All of my cars have gone past the 150k mark. My 85 Golf surpassed the 285k milestone when I finally decided to sideline it and do an engine transplant. The thing was still running when I took it apart.
I hope to have this operational by next summer with a newly refreshed 2.0l 16V. Then I can put in another 250k miles! If I get there, then this chassis will be the 1/2 million mile Golf! Wish me luck Les
