To rule out the battery / starter wiring ,  take a set of jumper leads and
connect them directly to the starter motor. If the starter spins the motor
at normal speed then the problem is with the starter /  wiring / battery
connections and you might need a new starter or wire up a relay.
Also clean the 2 battery connections and grease the outside.
Oh and while we are talking about battery's check the charge rate , it might
be under charging

Well, I had another symptom occur today.  I drove to work, made my daily
stop at 7-11 on the way(about 2 blocks from work).  When I came back out to
the car, it had a REAL hard time turning over, almost like the battery was
going dead.  It took 4 or 5 attempts to get it to start.  Holding the gas
down while making these attempts seemed to make it worse.  Thoughts?
