While I dont have any other suggestions as to getting the stud out, i do have the following info.
this is a very common problem only seen on thew later 2L block, it seems to be duye to the different size/weight of the alternator/ac bracket. switching to the earlier 1.8L 16v bracket (which fits just fine) will eliminate this problem forever. -----Original Message----- From: Greg Overman [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, September 08, 2003 1:17 PM To: 16V Group; Chad Rebuck Subject: Re: [a2-16v-list] removing broken bolt Where do you live? If it's in the LA area I have a place for you. I had similar problems with those bolts. All 4 were busted, but I was able to fix all but 1. If the one that's screwed up is on the bottom you can probably get by with 3. If it's a top you need to fix it. Let me know if you want that place in LA (Santa Ana actually).
