Yes, A friends 91 GTi blew a heatercore last week and the dealer fixed it
free of charge. But not without the expected denial and complaining. It is a
Safety recall issued by the department of transportation. They have to honor
it. Check www.alldata.com to see if your car is within the years covered.
Talk to the dealer with the specific recall notice and numbers. Then call
VWoA to verify.

Even these many years later, they will replace it?!

Larry,
Check with VW to see if the heater core was covered by the recall.
If its not, then get ready to take out the dash. It won't be a fun job.

Mark.
