All relay connections seem ok visually.  Will have to look up how to test them 
with a voltmeter.

And no,  the transfer pump is not buzzing like it usually does before cranking. 
   Seems like a fuel problem.

Getting dark out,  going to have to continue troubleshooting tomorrow.

(Can't wait until I get a garage this summer!)

     As Steven said: after you get it out of the tight space, check for
a working fuel pump relay.  Clean the contacts, try again for voltage at
the pump.  If the relay clicks, it's probably OK, but dirty contacts can
still shut you down.
