Ethanol-free gasoline is better all around because it's 100% gasoline instead
of a hydro-phillic gasoline additive that causes deterioration of older rubber
bits in the fuel system. The ethanol blends are so bad that small gasoline
engine manufacturers (think your lawnmower or tractor) are instructing owners
to not let the fuel sit for more than 7 days to avoid separation of ethanol in
the gasoline. I run 100% gasoline in my Land Rover, not because of it's high
compression ratio (although I do have the hi-po motor with 8.5:1 compression)
but rather because the ethanol blend is brutal on the carb and fuel pump.
If you have the option of using 100% gasoline AND you don't drive the car that
often, by all means, use 100% gasoline. Regardless of the fuel, of you don't
use the car that often, add Sta-Bil as well to maintain a prayer of having
usable gasoline after 30 days.

What's the deal with this new ethanol free gasoline I am seeing at the local
wawa gas station?
Anyone using this on their mk2? Would our cars like drinking this stuff much
better and help prevent the varnish that happens these days on modern gasoline
which our cars don't like at all..
