A few days ago I turned on NPR and 'Car Talk' reruns were on. I don't usually
listen to the show because it is mostly bad jokes and little useful info but
this day as I turned on the radio they were saying that 'old german cars give
out this emission/gas from the plastic which gets on the windows and leaves
this greasy film'

I have noticed this on my cars but just chalked it up to not cleaning them
enough.

Anyone know if this is true and do you do anything other than cleaning the
inside of the windows often?

I find that I get lots of fogging up of the front window here in the Tampa when
driving early in the afternoon - I assume this is because of the high humidity
interacting with whatever this film of stuff is.

I am starting to leave the windows cracked open to see if this reduces this
effect.

Just wondering,

-Larry
