Oops, forgot the technique. Put the vinegar in a spray bottle, mist the glass. Wad a full sheet of newspaper into a loose ball and wipe the glass. Repeat as needed. Should leave the glass clear and free of any deposits. Another option is a product called "Invisible Glass" available at any auto parts store, and possibly Walmart.
