If you do need new replacement parts check out German Auto Parts.

I have been dealing with this company for many years for parts for all my
Water cooled VWs. They have always treated me well. Best of all they
reference/use the OEM VW part numbers. Also their shipping charges tend to
be very reasonable (ie actualy cost and not an over-priced, flat rate.)
It appears in the link I posted above they have different options for the
part you need. Hopefully you do not need the turn signal with the cruise
control. Looks like that part is kinda pricey compared to the turn signal
without cruise. They are located in upstate New York (Albany area) near
where my sister lives. During one of my visits to my sister I stopped by
their place to pick up some parts in person and meet some of the people who
worked there and talk VWs for a few minutes. Nice people. Where I live I am
lucky that their shipments are usually next day UPS Ground. On the very
rare occasion when I had a problem with an order (incorrect part) they were
VERY quick to deal with the issue and get me the part I needed.

When I need parts for my '80, '81, '85, '87 or '02 VWs I check them first
to see if they can help me.
