Not a direct answer to your question, but this alternative command line approach might be useful in a script. melt in_file.mov in=0 out=200 length=200 -consumer avformat:out_file.mp4 f=mp4 acodec=lamemp3 ab=128k ar=44100 vcodec=libmpeg4 b=1500k pix_fmt=yuv420p s=1280x720 adapt as required.
