I`m not really into samba ... used it only 1`s and didn`t get to see the
other box properly
but when I load KDE Home (explorer like on ms shit) and typed smb://local.ip
it did show me the
shared directories on windows. Now the prob is that is was Win98 not winXP.

(just my opinion correct me If I`m wrong) WinXP if running on an NTFS
partition,
on the linux side you need NTFS support enabled on the Linux Kernel.

AiR.

Hi,

Installed LM 9.1 & managed to get internet connection sharing to work
between
my linux box & my winxp box.

Now working on Samba, but still no joy!

My winxp box sees my samba server on linux but cannot log on. From the linux
side, I cannot see my winxp box.

Any ideas? I've been using webmin to try & get both to talk to each other!

Joseph
