Hey Guys,

Take a look at www.slashdot.org

They've put an April fool's article about a program that will enable you
to send an e-mail to Richard Stallman without him simply deleting it.

Many people in the open source world hate Stallman because he insists
that Linux be called GNU/Linux and insists that one uses ONLY free (as
in open source) software.

Ok, true, it's a pain to use GNU/Linux instead of just linux all the
time, but you do get used to it, that's how I write it. Using only free
software is difficult right now, but give it a little more time and
we'll be well on the way.

I think Stallman should be given much more credit. Without him, Linux
(the kernel) and all the other open source software you use couldn't
have been created. He created the GCC compiler, Emacs, All the essential
tid bits of an OS, the GNU General Public License and is even finishing
up a kernel called HURD that will make a complete GNU system. In my
opinion, Linus hasn't done half of that and should kiss stallmans hairy
a**.

So cut the guy some slack! He may be a hippie, but he's a genius!

I'd like to read your views too.
