The only reason I don't entirely agree with the GNU/Linux naming convention is that, when people use a Linux distro they're using much more than the kernel plus the GNU software. What about XFree86, KDE, Mozilla, OpenOffice.org, Apache, Sendmail and loads of others? They're not part of GNU or part of the Linux kernel, yet to most people they are an intrinsic part of the "Linux OS".
