Hello mates, something seems to be wrong with my machine here. Today i was
working on linux, and i took a look at the LinuxConf, and also at the
LocaleDrake. After i logged in and logged out, the system seems to have slowed
down a lot. I have mentioned LinuxConf and LocaleDrake cause i think that the
problem begun since i touched those (though it's not the first time i used
LinuxConf).

I only opened LocaleDrake and chose "Malta" as my country, and as language i
chose maltese, it then asked me to logout and login again. I also changed a
setting from LinuxConf at first >> Network Configurator >> Information about
other Hosts, and changed the name from "christian" to "sengaia", then i logged
out and logged in again, and the problem came out...The machine is taking a lot
of time to initialise the peripherals, load the desktop and so on..and takes
about 50 seconds or so.

What could be the problem? I also changed back that LinuxConf Setting from
sengaia to christian. But the problem seems to be persisting and the machine is
still slow..what could be causing the problem? Any ideas pls? I have also tried
using the command "free m" to see what processes are running, u want the list?
Thankx in advance for your help.

PS: I'm running Mandrake 9.1 with KDE 3.1.

Regards
Chris.
