[LINUX.ORG.MT] System Slowdown

I have tried disabling postfix from drakxservices and now the only error i get 
when i try the command init 3&& init 5 is this: 

Starting Proftpd: localhost - Fatal: Unable to determine IP Address of 
'localhost'

Any ideas? Thankx in advance :>
