I downloaded them from the mysql.com site! why is there a problem with it?

  I'm trying to update mysql on my redhat machine (v9) which cames with
mysql v 3.2.2! the problem is this: when i tried to update the rpm it gave
me a dependency list which, knowing my style ...being a complete moron! i re
tried updating mysql using the --nodeps command! this will install whatever
the error!

  After the installation, which went flawlesly i tried to restart the httpd!
but an error ocured asking me that the libmysqlclient.so.10 is missing!!
What is this and how can i fix this error?
