Thanks Raphael, I got my resolution back to 1024 x 7...@53hz. My idea was to
see the effect of having a higher resolution. The specs for this monitor say
that you can go up to 1600 x 1...@75hz.

Thanks again for all your help. The next upgrade that I would like to do is
to triple boot, adding another linux distro. Should I use GParted, or
Partition Magic for this?
