You're right. But it's common practice in the software business. Just look
at Oracle buying Sun.

MS being like that goes back to the early days. Nothing new really. I
recommend you guys watch the movie 'Pirates of Silicon Valley'.  It's the
story of the early PC/Apple days. They really pulled a fast one on Apple.
Should be available at your 'local movie store' ;)

Some products turned out pretty good though:

- Active Directory
- Visio

That's the only ones I wish for open equivalent.
