I installed debian a few years ago, and I needed a wired internet connectin to download all the packages. The wifi drivers weren't in the installer I used (something called goodbye windows or something like that). But they were in the installed system. But I also installed a program called NetworkManager. It actually activated the driver when I logged in with gnome. -- hendrik > It was not connected to the internet but does have a wi-fi card. > I made the connection to the network, but nothing happens! > It doesn't ask to connect or anything of the sort... > > What have I forgotten? > André. > _______________________________________________ > mlug mailing list > [email protected] > https://listes.koumbit.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mlug-listserv.mlug.ca _______________________________________________ mlug mailing list [email protected] https://listes.koumbit.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mlug-listserv.mlug.ca
