That's a lot of dump.
So, the fact that there is only loopback and your eth0 (hardwired
connection) is disappointing. You don't have your wifi card driver
loaded.
The dmesg|grep eth is not worth much. On a fresh boot, you can run dmesg
bootmsg.txt and see what is going on there, but we probably don't need
to do that. It's informative to see what's going on at boot time, but
more for you to learn what is going on.
For a wifi device, iwconfig has largely replaced ifconfig on linux for
anything to do with wifi stuff. You'll need the device listed in ifconfig
though.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but intel pro1000e is the ethernet NIC
right? Denis: you'll have to lspci | less and run through what's there,
there should be something about the broadcom wifi (or any wifi something).
Then re-run with -v and look at that entry and see what there is, -k will
tell you what kernel modules go with it, but you're going to have to
modprobe the right driver based on what you get out of the lspci dump. Ie
lspci->get card / chipset info -> google for driver -> modprobe the driver
-> success. In any case, once you're sure about the chipset you can
google your distro and see what problems/solutions there are.
You also might want to verify that there are some power lights or some
kind of 'yes I'm not a fried /dead card' signals.. I guess if it "worked
under windows" then that's verification enough.
Good luck, report back success/problems.
