Depending on how old-fashioned you are, you may also suffer from the
lack of a third mouse button, or the glossy screen. Regarding the SSD,
I couldn't find much info about the Zenbook's SSD form factor: how easy
is it to change it? Since your Thinkpads are still alive and kicking,
you may actually care about being able to easily upgrade your memory
and/or disk. Finally, check the autonomy: there doesn't seem to be
a "large battery" option, like there is for thinkpads.

PS: you may also want to consider an X201(s) since they come with 16:10
screens: I find my 1440x900 much better than the measly 13??x768 you get
on newer (16:9) X220.
