Which free program were you referred to? There are 2: 1 - SNDS aka Smart Network Data Services
If you have IPs relaying mail to MSN. Sign up for it. It'll tell you the daily volume of mail you send them, the spam complaint % and an example email of a spam complaint. It'll also tell you if IPs are blacklisted. To sign up, you'll need to authenticate IPs via emails listed in the reverse DNS. There is also a color coding system for IP reputation, but colleagues and I are convinced it's mostly BS. I suspect this is what they suggested and agree, you should sign up. 2 - JMRP aka Junk Mail Reporting Program If you send bulk, you must register for this. It's basically you attesting (followed by verifications) that you're setup DKIM, DK, and SenderID wise etc. After signing up, MSN will forward every email that was marked as spam so that you can unsubscribe whomever got it.
