I haven't found the answer to this, but I wonder how this will affect
Kubuntu or Xubuntu. I've never used straight Ubuntu, and what little
information I found seems to mention that this works with Unity, and
since Ubuntu variants like Kubuntu does not use Unity, it won't be in
there?

So I just booted up the 12.10 release CD and fancy that there is a big

I am sad, but it is not unexpected. I understand the need for revenue
for corporations. I guess the fact that a large revenue-oriented
corporation makes my operating system again after all these years is
what makes me sad.
