I have indeed been using the text (tab-delimited Q/A), creating
separate files for categories and importing.
That works quite well (I have been making a German database, and have
been able to add 5-10 words every couple of days).  It is also quite
easy within Mnemosyne to change category assignments. So I think this
is a sufficient and practical solution.

I just wanted to close the loop since there had been a comment to my
prior question with a possiblity of importing different categories
from one file.
Apparently this function is not available when importing text, but may
be available via XML ( nd this is the part I wanted to follow up on) .

So I went online and looked for XML editors, and its a large list.
They also have seem to have quite different interfaces and
functionalities.

Therefore I was wondering if there is a particular XML software that
is well-suited for Mnemosyne?
