Ps. I've had this list of features that would be useful, based on my own usage. I've been meaning to post them for some time & figure sooner is better than later: where is the proper place to post? I couldn't find a dedicated page . . . Here they are, in no particular order:
ability to add two cards at the same time, but split these into two packs (one of which has the original question answer relationship, the other which will have the answer question relationship). ability to relocate the sound/support files for a deck without having to adjust all the cards individually (e.g. when I first started playing with Mnemosyne, I placed some audio files on my desktop, &, in order to move them, had to edit each of the cards for the appropriate path - is there any way to tie a given audio file to a card & have the path automatically adjusted in Mnemosyne?). ability to mute / control volume (in case you have more than one audio output running on your computer and would like to control Mnemosyne's volume separately). 2-phase reveal: this is specific to what I am doing, but imagine it would have broader application. In Arabic, the "accents" on letters are important because they give the vocalization of a word; however, they are not usually included in text (except very formal texts, classical poetry, religious texts and children's books) - so it would be very useful to first see the word w/o accents to see if one can place them properly/ pronounce properly etc, then see the word with the accents before finally seeing the translation. auto-save progress so that if the program crashes, work done is not lost. I think i saw this on the blueprints page . . . Cheers! g. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "mnemosyne-proj-users" group.
