Hello Peter, all I've been lurking on the list for... probably a couple of years now. I want to contribute, and I have tried several times. I'm on Windows 7. I got Launchpad and Bazaar to work, but with not insubstantial effort and with irregular success (this last time I got the code once, but I failed to pull it down on my subsequent attempts). The real problem was that I never got past all of the build errors. I'm only junior level at this, but I feel like I should be able to get it going myself and I'm embarrassed to say that it's so daunting.
As they say, however, the first step is admitting that you have a problem. ;) I know that I'm not providing enough information to get help, but I'd like to know what people think about getting me started. I don't want to presume that anyone wants to... what may amount to mentoring me. For reference, I'm 33 with a strong background in tech and QA. In the past I've actually gotten unsolicited development job offers (in retrospect, I regret not taking them). I'm junior level in programming (I've done some personal projects and coded small applications in prior jobs). Right now I have an AS in CS and I'm working on my bachelor degree. I want to code, I love mnemosyne, and I want a least one good project to put on my resume! Any thoughts?
