I suspect it may be a more practical idea to try to get spaced
repetition incorporated into computer-based testing/teaching programs.
In my Mnemosyne page, one of the external links is

because I admired how he effectively worked spaced repetition into his
tests and so his students benefited without ever once knowing about it
or having to set up software.

I think something similar could and should be done for online courses,
like Khan Academy. I was impressed by the recent TED talk on Khan
Academy,

. It seemed to me that the part of the site that does review and
testing could easily be doing spaced repetition behind the scenes.
