Do you have the same problems when running it from the desktop? What exactly happens during the crashes? Do you get an error message?
The only known problem I'm aware of is that on some Windows machines, the program occasionally hangs when displaying an image. I have not been able to reproduce this, so it's probably a system-specific bug in the library mnemosyne uses.
