Thank you for the response, Peter! > Do you have the same problems when running it from the desktop?
I am using the portable version because I am not allowed to install software on the office PC where I've been using it, so I don't really know if the same problem occurs on the desktop, but I can try installing it on a PC of my own to see what happens. Is it possible to copy the data from my portable installation over to the desktop installation for testing purposes? > What exactly happens during the crashes? Do you get an error message? There is no error message, I'm afraid. It simply stops responding, and Windows 7 shows its spinning disc cursor until the application is forcibly shut down. This almost invariably happens just after choosing a number after reviewing a particular item, although it doesn't seem to make any difference whether the number is chosen with the keyboard/keypad or by clicking the buttons in the application. > The only known problem I'm aware of is that on some Windows machines, the > program occasionally hangs when displaying an image. I haven't been using any images in my situation, so I am probably not encountering this particular bug. I'll try it on the desktop and see how that works, but it would be best if I could get the portable version working reliably, so if you have any additional ideas, please let me know. Thank you!
